INTRODUCING OUR NEW OFFICERS |
|
Dear Friend,
Let me introduce myself. I am Major Butch Mallard. In June, my wife Major Carolyn Mallard and I became the Corps Officers for The Salvation Army – Charleston. We have been Salvation Army Officers for 23 years and served in both the North and South Carolina Division and the Maryland and West Virginia Divisions. We have 3 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren. We are delighted to have this opportunity to serve in the Low Country.
We are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves and getting to work. We believe that with the help of friends like you, we can make life a little better for those who are hurting because of the economy. I know that God has a plan for each one of us as we work in His Vineyard. We pledge our very best with all He entrusts to us as His servants. We know that we can count on each and every one of you to continue the support you have given in the past. We rest upon the promise that God is going to bless us over and above anything we have ever experienced in the past.
Each of us is expected to help those who cannot help themselves. Your generosity makes it all happen. Thanks to you, The Salvation Army is here in our community — a place where people in need can turn for help … and hope. We look forward to a wonderful time of service here in Charleston. May God bless each of you.
His messengers of joy,
Majors Butch and Carolyn Mallard
